After visiting multiple places around our native place, on this sunday we have decided to go back to our roots from where our family name comes from i.e Chilumuru. This is the place in Guntur district, Kollur Mandal, Andhra Pradesh. The nearest place is Tenali. It is around 17Kms from there which will take around 30miuntes of drive. The drive is beautiful through the double road that has greenery all around, which makes the drive beautiful. We have started around 10AM from our home and reached the place around 10:30AM. We had abhishekam in the ubhayarameswara Kshetram and spent our time till 12:30 there. The temple is pretty old as old as Treta Yuga. As per the skanda purana, while coming back from lanka post killing of Ravana, Rama will be establishing lingams across all the banks of the rivers to get rid of brhma hatya patakam. On the bank of Krishna river when they planned to establish the sivalingam, Rama asked hanuma to bring the lingam from Kailasa. But as the muhurt is gett...

After stuck at home for months together due to 2nd wave of pandemic, finally we have attended a close family function and post that we have decided to plan for a one day trip with our family. We didn't want to travel long distance so after exploring multiple places we have decided to visit the near by two places near to our place. The places are Dwaraka Tirumala (popularly known as "Chinna Tirupati") and Maddi Anjaneya swami temple (Lord Hanuma temple). The region covered by our Dwaraka Tirumala is commanding the top most conspicuous position in India, being garlanded by these two great Indian rivers Krishna and Godavary, as pointed out by Brahma Purana. The devotees who wish to go and offer their donations, or tonsures or any other offerings to Lord Venkateswara, Lord of Tirumala Tirupati, called as “Pedda Tirupati”, due to some reason, if they are unable to go there, they can offer their donations, prayers and worship in Dwaraka Tirumala temple. Dwaraka Tirumala is a f...

But it went super smooth wih 13.5hours of non-stop drive with couple of short breaks for breakfast and lunch. After travelling to the native it's been a while since we visit any places around, as most of the time was visiting the friends and relatives. Finally after a month of moving to our native, we have decided to explore a place that is very near by and we choose uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary and Nandivelugu temple near by. We have planned for an half a day trip as all these places are pretty near by. There are 4 temples near by that form a shape of a bow and we should visit all the 4 temples in a single day it seems. We wokeup early and got ready by 9AM, as we need to finish of some puja and other rituals before 11AM and we started from home by 9:30 and reached the Nandivelugu temple by 10AM and it took almost an hour to finish our puja and other formali...
